GT 2000

Offering the extra support that overpronators need, the ASICS GT-2000 is a versatile shoe designed to take on any distance. Its lightweight construction and responsive cushioning serve up heaps of comfort and put a little extra pep in your step.

Regular Cushioning

Regular cushioning offers a blend of lightness, comfort, and ground feel. Popular for shorter distance racing as well as training and daily mileage running, the lower stack of midsole foam offers inherent stability and a lighter feel on your foot when compared to max-stack shoes.

Structured

Structured shoes offer stability and support that is particularly helpful for those who overpronate or have flat feet. If you overpronate, you belong to about 60% of the population who land on the outside of the foot but turn in too far through the transition from landing to toe-off. Without correction, overpronation can lead to injuries and an inefficient running style.

Modern shoes use a variety of different methods to assist in correcting your gait, but most include increased support in the upper and stabilising midsole systems that guide your foot gently through the most efficient path.

ASICS

Creators of one of the first marathon-specific shoes back in 1953, ASICS have a firmly established history in running, with their reputation for technical excellence spreading far beyond the borders of their home base in Japan.

They remain hugely successful in the 26-mile distance, where their renowned GEL technology is popular for its ability to absorb impacts and help reduce injuries.

ASICS also produce excellent shoes for overpronators, as embodied by their flagship series, the Kayano, a long-distance structured shoe that’s been keeping runners comfortable since ’93.

Their newer Fast series includes the explosive Novablast. Ditching the slightly heavier GEL for lightweight but propulsive materials, they make the most of every moment over shorter distances.
